For today’s Daily Rant, I want to discuss the touchy topic on whether or not some idol members are worthy enough of being in that group. First of all, I just want to clarify that there is no such thing as a useless idol and there definitely is no such thing as a talentless idol. When I’m on Youtube, Facebook, or even Tumblr, I always see this kind of thing going on. Heck, the other day I was on Yahoo Answers and there was a question that just angered me so much. The person asked: “Why is Minho even in SHINee? He can’t sing at all and he’s just there.” That’s the thing. Everyone’s judging based on an idol’s role in the group and assuming that the idol can’t do anything else. Minho is a rapper and a very good one at that. It doesn’t mean that he can’t dance or sing though. The boy knows how to move his body to the beat very well and his voice is absolutely heavenly. Just because he’s the main rapper does not mean that he can’t do any of the other things. It’s kind of like their hidden ability that they only use when needed. More »
