In the previous episode, we were left with Hyun Ki Joon holding onto Ah Jung’s hand as she is about to leave his bedside. What happens next? [SPOILER ALERT!]
Ah Jung tells Ki Joon that he fainted because of stress and food poisoning, so she tells him to take a day off of work and she texts Park Hoon that he won’t be going to the office today. She makes porridge for him and then rushes off to work. After work, Ah Jung rushes over to check on him because he didn’t reply to her text, but he asks her why she is there because they have no relationship with each other. This makes Ah Jung frustrated, so she leaves, but Ki Joon is confused as to why she is mad at him. Later, Ki Joon needs her help to secure his contract with the Chinese investor, and Ah Jung successfully helps him get it. They also clear up their misunderstanding with the text, and you can tell that there are sparks flying between them!
We then find out through a lunch meeting between Oh Yoon Joo and Ki Joon’s aunt that the aunt didn’t approve of Oh Yoon Joo being in a relationship with Ki Joon because she caused problems between him and Sang Hee, so the aunt still doesn’t want her to get back with Ki Joon, but Yoon Joo still persists. So Ran also meets with Ah Jung to tell her of the past relationship between Yoon Joo and Ki Joon and tells her to be careful. So Ran gives Ah Jung Yoon Joo’s info so that she can go find her and Ah Jung pretends to not need it, but she actually goes to Yoon Joo’s house. She sees that Yoon Joo is a very pretty and capable person, and this causes her to get depressed, so she goes to a gathering with her co-workers and starts drinking a lot.
After becoming really drunk, she takes a taxi home, but accidentally tells the driver to take her to Ki Joon’s house. The next morning, she wakes up feeling extremely ashamed because she recalls bits of the previous night. Ki Joon doesn’t seem to mind though, and when Ah Jung goes to the restroom to wash her face, he shakes her cola drink so that it sprays her when she opens it. This part was simply hilarious because Ki Joon shook the bottle like his life depended on it and laughed like a maniac when Ah Jung got sprayed with the soda. They end up getting in a soda spraying fight, and then they start to make out, which was really random, but also sweet because Ki Joon said this time he wasn’t acting. Ki Joon then takes Ah Jung to work.
Sang Hee meets up with Yoon Joo again, and she asks him if he still has feelings for her, which he doesn’t respond to, and then he goes to Ki Joon’s house to let Ki Joon know that if he loves Yoon Joo, he can have her. After Sang Hee leaves, Ki Joon meets up with his aunt, who also invites Ah Jung to eat with them and Yoon Joo as well, and the aunt introduces Ah Jung to Yoon Joo as Ki Joon’s wife. This upsets Yoon Joo, who leaves first, then Ki Joon follows her and then Ah Jung follows him. Ki Joon ends up driving away to look for Yoon Joo while leaving Ah Jung behind. Ah Jung drives to Ki Joon’s house to see if he is home, which he isn’t, so she drives to Yoon Joo’s house and ends up falling asleep on her front steps.
The next morning, as Ah Jung is leaving Yoon Joo’s house, Ki Joon and Yoon Joo arrive there, and they go inside her house to talk. Yoon Joo tells Ah Jung that she knows her situation and that thanks to Ah Jung, Yoon Joo and Ki Joon are back together. This part absolutely broke my heart because Ah Jung was struggling to hold back tears but also congratulate the couple, and she leaves with the excuse of being late for work. Ki Joon follows her out but is unable to say anything because Ah Jung just pretends to be okay, but you can tell she about to burst into tears at any second. Ah Jung shows up at So Ran’s house, which became a mess because So Ran and her husband were arguing about Ah Jung finding out about his affair, and So Ran expected to be the one in shame, but instead of saying anything about it, Ah Jung confesses to So Ran that her own marriage was a fake. The episode ends here.
While watching the beginning of this episode, I was really liking it because Ki Joon and Ah Jung were getting along well and it seemed like their relationship would get better, but at the end, I almost cried along with Ah Jung. Ki Joon is a real jerk for leading her on like that, even if he didn’t mean to. I know he has feelings for Ah Jung, but he just probably doesn’t know yet. I know this might sound mean, but I want Ah Jung to find a better man and make Ki Joon jealous so that he will realize his own feelings! I am dying of anticipation for the next episode to see how they deal with this.
