For today’s Daily Rant, I want to talk about what goes through the minds of some overboard fan-girls and the results of that. Now first off, I know most of us have that inner fan-girl that gets jealous when they see their bias hanging out with another girl group member. Sometimes it’s not even hanging out but just being on the same program causes that fan-girl to grow hate over the female idol. It’s hard to deny but it happens. However, what I really hate seeing is when fans take it to another level and straight up goes out and starts cussing out that female idol. Excuse my language but a lot of what I would see is, “Oh, she’s so ugly” or “Oh, she’s such a slut.”

That is exactly what “grinds my gears.” You see fan-girls commenting on pictures and videos of female idols or girl groups and the only thing that they’re doing is bashing that idol. They complain and whine about how slutty girl groups are, only because they’re wearing revealing clothes. The only reason they’re wearing those clothes are not to attract men but for style and fashion. Just because SNSD wears short shorts does not mean that they are “easy.” Just because they’re showing their legs or even a little bit of skin does not mean that they are prostitutes. I don’t get why fans even say such cruel things. You think that idols don’t go online and look at news, but they do. They see everything since the Internet is available to everyone and it’s almost like cyber-bulling. It hurts to see all those insults directed at you and it just shouldn’t be done. If you don’t like being called ugly, then don’t do it to others, especially idols.

I do admit that I dislike whenever I see my favorite boy bands around other females but it can’t be avoided. Thoughts do go through my mind but that’s where they stay. I don’t go swearing and ruining the peace with my awful comments. It’s an opinion that everyone has and it differs from everyone’s minds. Keep them inside you if they’re negative. Only say the good things that would benefit the public. I remember when SHINee’s Jonghyun and Shin Sekyung started to date and fan-girls everywhere immediately went crazy, crashing Sekyung’s mini-hompy with insults. Jonghyun was so sad at it all that he cried and apologized to everyone. I started to cry watching him do this because why was he apologizing when it wasn’t even his fault. They’re famous and it’s not like we’d have a big chance with him anyhow, so stop with the rude comments. Stop hurting the idols and start loving. When we all love, everyone becomes a happier family and a better environment to live in.
