On June 24, Rainia’s leader Saem was rushed to hospital after being dropped mid-air during KBS’s “Music Bank” recording. For their song “Masquerade“, Rainia had prepared a special performance where the girls would be pulled up to mid-air using wires. Unfortunately, Saem’s wire malfunctioned, which made her drop to the floor.

A representative at the scene has revealed that “Saem was rehearing for ‘Masquerade’ with the other members when her wire pin unraveled while she was 2m in the air. She fell to the floor and injure her ankle. 119 was called immediately, and she was rushed out for transportation to Seoul St.Mary’s Hospital.”

A representative of DR Music first said “We are currently on our way to the hospital. We don’t believe that Saem was injured badly”

Information was later updated by DR Music through E Daily and revealed, “The story was a bit of an exaggeration. She did not fall from mid-air because her wire malfunctioned. Her wire took her to the floor a bit earlier than the promised timing, so she wasn’t able to find her balance as she landed.”

They also said, “Saem was really surprised at the sudden landing so she was taken to the hospital, but examinations showed that she just has slight bruising around her ankle and hip area. She does not have any further injuries. Her doctor said that she will have no problems standing on stage for ‘Music Bank’.”

They concluded by stating, “It was an emergency situation at the time so we weren’t able to take every call, which is why the situation was exaggerated. We would like to apologize for causing you concern. We promise to repay it with a good stage.”

Poor Saem, but good to know that she’s okay. I personally she should have a bit of a rest because bruising from landing like that probably means that she kind of sprained it. A sprained ankle needs time to recover.

whew omg i thought she was hurt very very badly.the ankle injury i think should be expected since she was probably wearing heels and when doing those types of stunts better shoes that can protect your feet is safer
