In the previous episode, we were left with Ah Jung confessing to the reporters that it was her who made up the lie about the marriage. What happens next? [SPOILER ALERT!]

Ki Joon returns from China and hears the news as well, but there is not much they can do. The news accuses her of being a gold digger, she resigns from work, and she asks Chun Jae Bum to be her lawyer. Since Ki Joon doesn’t want Ah Jung to be in the line of fire, he takes her to a public area and yells out to everyone that he loves her, and it gets put onto the front page of the next day’s newspaper. As a result, everywhere they go, people recognize them almost like they’re celebrities, and they have to be “undercover” whenever they go out.

However, at Ki Joon’s hotel, the shareholders are unsatisfied with how Ki Joon’s behavior is negatively affecting their business, so they want to have him removed from his position, but right as they are voting to have him removed, Manager Park saves the day by coming in and announcing that Chairman Chen has agreed to invest in their hotel. After his success, he visits Ah Jung and her father to apologize to her father for having put Ah Jung in a difficult situation. They have round two of their drinking contest, and as Ki Joon is leaving drunk with Park Hoon, he yells out that Ah Jung is his woman.

The next night, Ah Jung and Ki Joon both attend the banquet for the official signing of the contract between Ki Joon’s company and Chairman Chen, where Ah Jung receives a call from the disciplinary board that she is officially fired from her job. This causes her to be depressed, especially having been interrogated from a reporter earlier as well, so she leaves the banquet, accidentally knocking down some ice sculptures as well. The episode ends with Ki Joon running after her as she leaves.

Looks like the couple has gotten over one hurdle, but another one is coming up fast! Hope their relationship stays strong and their situation gets better soon.
