Honestly, I wish he didn’t get a punishment. On the other hand, it was his fault that someone died, so he should have a harsher punishment. Idk, I love him too much to ask for a worse punishment for him but I am also a person that believes that the punishment should fit the crime. So in the end I’m stuck :(

Daesung should not have to go to jail for this!
i think the best solution would be to just pay the fine, and do volunteer service~

Well, he’s only human isn’t he?
just because he’s a celebrity it doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be punished… i mean anyone else would have had to abide by the law. besides fame, nothing makes him special, or an acception.
regardless, he’s stuck, really.
i mean if they give him his prision sentence (on top of his two year military service) that’s his career over. This generation of BB and D-lite fans’ll be all grown up and just not care about music anymore.  But if he just pays the fine, then that’s going upset everyone- it’s almost as if he’s putting a price on life, because, let’s be honest, that 20,000USD is practially nothing to him.

i for one think that Daesung should stay out of the limelight for a while, pay his fine, but perhaps more, because he really can’t afford to go to prision…
but what about BBs world tour? he really needs to be there for that, if it happens… D:

That poor boy. Well, yes, it’s a horrible situation entirely! And yeah, Daesung will be charged with vehicular manslaughter/homicide, even though the motorcyclist was very intoxicated… but what I see of a lot of the fans… we can’t pretend that somebody didn’t die, you know? It sucks that Daesung will have to face consequences, and we’re all upset about it. Even though I love him as much as anyone else, and the accident was not his fault, like anyone else he should face some jail time and definitely a fine, and some money paid to the family of the victim seems appropriate. I hope Daesung comes out of this okay… you know, maybe some time and money given up will help him get over the guilt he must be feeling.

I’m sure he could pay the $20,000 USD penalty.
Compared to Kangin’s situation before , Daesung’s case is worse because an innocent person died even though it is unintentionally.
Justice must be serve.
But if he did pay the fine , I think he should take a break from the music industry for a mean time.
Because with his situation right now , I’m sure he is extremely depressed and feeling down.
Taking a break would help him forget all the bad situation he had been through.

hmmm… i’m kind of half half on this issue. i think he should go to jail for causing someone’s life to be taken away. Also, if he paid the fine, it makes me feel like that the person’s life was only worth that amount. But then again, the motorist was intoxicated, and shouldn’t have been driving in the first place.
I would love to see Daesung go on stage again but then it’s kind of harsh to the victim’s family because they are still suffering from the losses.
I commend him on his attitude, for not leaving the scene. but a jail sentence could potentially make Daesung lose his hard-built career. i know most of you guys maybe saying that a life is more important than Daesung’s career. But the thing is, besides being sorry and very remorseful, what can he do? I know he’s got to feel bad somehow for killing someone, but to be honest, life has to go on. (I sound really mean.. :()
So yeah.. still not too sure on what he should or shouldn’t be doing. It all depends on situations.

I don’t think he should go without punishment for speeding. Although you have to take into account the moto biker crashed once before with Dae and he was drunk? from what I read. For Dae the emotional trauma it has caused him is probably unbearable seeing th type of person he is. He would never hurt someone intentionally and to hear that he killed someone must tear him to pieces. I don’t expect him to take the easy way out. I’m sure he will take Big Bangs and his Fans pleas and reasoning into consideration but its not like him to take the easy way out or to not weigh this accident heavily and seriously. I think it will always haunt him, but it was an accident. I do not believe he deserves the max penalty though! Wrong place, wrong time, unintentional. I think he will choose the right path for him, eventhough any path he chooses will always upset someone. I’m sure he will do whats right for the victims family and whats right for himself, his fans and the people who love him.

This is a difficult situation when dealing with a human life and simply some of human’s mistakes...The thing is, Daesung didn’t do this on purpose in order to take someone’s life, he feels really bad about it, but he did in truth run over the motocylist.On the otherhand, the motorcyclist didn’t want to lose his life but somehow drank alcohol before.
These things could be preventable if the motorcyclist didn’t drink and drive and Daesung lowered his speed and watched the road.
This is a difficult situation to discuss about, we can only remember these mistakes as we follow through in life so that these things never happen again… I think Daesung should pay the fine and regularly take care of the motorcyclist’s family, it’s the best solution in my eyes…

Daesung didn’t purposely murder the guy yet it seems like they are chargin him for homicide when it was an ACCIDENT. I think they shouldn’t charge him with anything since it was purely an accident.

i personally think that he should be fined for speeding and negligent driving, but i think throwing him in jail for accidentally killing someone is too much. he couldn’t see the guy lying there, he had no idea a person was even on the road. it’s not like he purposefully saw him lying there and thought, “ooh! 10 points!” he should be punished for the things that he had control over, like the speeding.

I think as much as Big Bang fans may want the group to continue like normal, Daesung should stay low for a while and not show himself to the public too much. There is definitely some animosity that has built up because of this incident, some animosity and/or hatred, distrust formed, and fan wars concerning whether he should be shunned or forgiven. With time can come healing, and Daesung also really needs some peace and quiet time for now to think things through for himself and also emotional healing. Because the incident was an accident, people should be more understanding of his position, but there should be precautions taken.

I don’t think he needs to go to prison, the fine is understandable but this entire situation was just a huge accident. He was in the right place at the wrong time and that’s just what happened, it can’t be avoided. Although people may not necessarily agree with me, I think if he decided to go into the military it would actually help him heal, it would help him get everything off his mind. And although I do not want to see him gone for two years, there might not be another way. He’s a very kind and sensitive man and I think this will definitely have it’s toll on him. :(

I think it depends.
Some people may think “He’s a celebrity, just let him pay.”
But I believe they need to think it through.
Normal people may get jail time, but celebrity’s rarely get jail time.. they just pay money.
I’m not saying Daesung should go to jail, though.
I think it should be thoroughly thought through.
