We recently asked you if you would friend, date or marry Takagi Shinpei. The majority of you would want to friend Takagi Shinpei! Today’s celeb crush is Ok Taecyeon. He is a member of popular Korean group 2PM, recognized for his rapping role and skills. He debuted as an actor in 2010 by taking part in KDrama “Cinderella’s Sister”. Can’t forget “Dream High” in 2011 either!

Taec was born in the all-famous city of Seoul, but emigrated to Bedford, Massachusetts (U.S.A) with his family, living there for 7 years before going back to Korea to go after his career dream. He studied Business Administration at Dankook University. His sister was actually the one who encouraged him to audition for JYP Entertainment after seeing a promotion on the internet. On Taecyeon’s 17th birthday, they both went to New York City. A week after auditioning, he was chosen as one of the final 35 and went to Korea to go on with the competition. He had applied to become a model at first, but the judges had him try singing and dancing. Turns out, Taec was one of the dozen finalists (Junho and Chansung too!) and was chosen to participate in show “Superstar Survival”. Sadly, he was the first contestant to leave.

In 2008, he then took part in Mnet’s Hot Blood Men, where 13 trainees went through intense training to become part of boy band, One Day. Out of that group came 2AM and 2PM, the second which Taec was granted membership. He likes listening to music, wakeboarding, and skiing, is good at cooking and loves to eat “everything”. Nicknames include ones such as: Okcat, Beast, Choco Taec, Rich Teeth, and Ok Daeri. Gotta love his unique ears!
