The Ningin Community Round Table is much like the Ningin Round Table only, instead of Ningin writers, it’s a chance for Ningin users to speak their mind on important Asian entertainment issues and be heard. Earlier we asked you, “Now that the autopsy report of the Daesung accident is out, what do you think should happen to Daesung?” Here’s what some of you had to say:

hollbeth: i personally think that he should be fined for speeding and negligent driving, but i think throwing him in jail for accidentally killing someone is too much. he couldn’t see the guy lying there, he had no idea a person was even on the road. it’s not like he purposefully saw him lying there and thought, “ooh! 10 points!” he should be punished for the things that he had control over, like the speeding.

MissChoi: I don’t think he should go without punishment for speeding. Although you have to take into account the moto biker crashed once before with Dae and he was drunk? From what I read. For Dae the emotional trauma it has caused him is probably unbearable seeing th type of person he is. He would never hurt someone intentionally and to hear that he killed someone must tear him to pieces. I don’t expect him to take the easy way out. I’m sure he will take Big Bangs and his Fans pleas and reasoning into consideration but its not like him to take the easy way out or to not weigh this accident heavily and seriously. I think it will always haunt him, but it was an accident. I do not believe he deserves the max penalty though! Wrong place, wrong time, unintentional. I think he will choose the right path for him, eventhough any path he chooses will always upset someone. I’m sure he will do whats right for the victims family and whats right for himself, his fans and the people who love him.

saranghaekpop2011: Daesung didn’t purposely murder the guy yet it seems like they are chargin him for homicide when it was an ACCIDENT. I think they shouldn’t charge him with anything since it was purely an accident.

SekiAmano: That poor boy. Well, yes, it’s a horrible situation entirely! And yeah, Daesung will be charged with vehicular manslaughter/homicide, even though the motorcyclist was very intoxicated… but what I see of a lot of the fans… we can’t pretend that somebody didn’t die, you know? It sucks that Daesung will have to face consequences, and we’re all upset about it. Even though I love him as much as anyone else, and the accident was not his fault, like anyone else he should face some jail time and definitely a fine, and some money paid to the family of the victim seems appropriate. I hope Daesung comes out of this okay… you know, maybe some time and money given up will help him get over the guilt he must be feeling.

HyukJar: I don’t think he needs to go to prison, the fine is understandable but this entire situation was just a huge accident. He was in the right place at the wrong time and that’s just what happened, it can’t be avoided. Although people may not necessarily agree with me, I think if he decided to go into the military it would actually help him heal, it would help him get everything off his mind. And although I do not want to see him gone for two years, there might not be another way. He’s a very kind and sensitive man and I think this will definitely have it’s toll on him.
