SHINee has successfully made their debut in Japan and have even placed 2nd on the Oricon Weekly Single Chart! On June 22nd, SHINee released their Japanese debut single, “Replay -君は僕のEverything,” and within a week, the group has sold over 91,000 copies of the single, allowing them to place 2nd on the July 4th Oricon weekly single chart.
With this achievement, the group has surpassed the first week sales of all Korean artists who have debuted in Japan, including Super Junior, who held the previous record of 59,000 copies. In addition, they have tied themselves with other Korean artists who have placed 2nd on the Oricon Weekly Single Chart: BEAST’s “Shock” (3/28), MBLAQ’s “Your Luv” (5/16), and Super Junior’s “BONAMANA” (6/20).
SHINee will soon begin their Japan tour, titled “SHINee Japan Debut Premium Reception Tour,” which will take place in Fukuoka, Kobe, Tokyo, Sapporo, and Nagoya.
