Today’s Daily Rant is about how KPOP can badly effect your love life — friends included. Given my past rant about consuming people, now it’s time to look a little closer.

I have seen so many people complain about their relationships because of KPOP. For instance, someone I spoke to said their boyfriend called JaeJoong a ‘Pretty Gay Boy’ and she flipped out at him, nearly ending the relationship. Crazy isn’t it? I mean, it’s not nice to hear your bias getting bashed, but nearly ending a relationship because of it? I don’t want to think what would happen if they drew on their faces or something — it could start a war between them! As well as this, it can be the same with friends, I was bashed by my friends for liking KPOP and also finding Korean men attractive. I’m sure a few of you have had the same problems.

Sometimes it makes us have higher expectations, since we see these amazingly nice boys in dramas, or in the idol groups. I know so many people who want boyfriends like Ji Hoo from Boys Over Flowers or Shin Woo from You’re Beautiful. Sounds crazy sometimes but people can be like that I guess. It gets a bit extreme when fans pick their idols over their real friends and other halves. It shouldn’t get to that stage right? We all like to dream, but when it effects everything, thats when it needs to come to a stop.
