Over the past decade, autotune has made its way into music from different parts of the word. It was first made famous through American artist T-Pain, who is known to have built a million-dollar career through his autotuned music. Without this vocal-disguising system, we can say without a doubt that T-Pain is not a great singer. For this reason, autotune is often looked down upon because it allows less talented people to “cheat” their way to fame and riches. In addition, it also deprives music of its organic and earthy qualities and makes it sound robotic and “fake.” However, when the right amount of autotune is used, it can actually add onto the overall quality of the song and make it sound catchy, as exemplified by the 10 songs below.
