Rookie group Boyfriend made their debut a little over a month ago and with their good looks and oozing charms, the group has been receiving much love, even nicknamed as “pet-idols”.
However, the group would like to be known more for their talents than their visuals. The boys also revealed that in the beginning, they found their group name to be a little awkward and a bit “scary”, but realized soon after that it was a catchy name with good intent behind. Their debut track, “Boyfriend”, is known for having much ‘aegyo’ and unique chorus. As cute and “easy” as it looks like, the members said it wasn’t easy since they would be out of breath after each performance since singing and dancing wasn’t easy to master. They now have finally gotten the flow of things and feel more confident and happier after each performance.
Boyfriend has also begun work on a brand new album that will showcase another previously unknown side of the group. Keep an eye on this group, who are also striving to win ‘Rookie of the Year’ award!
Yeah, to be honest, I would’ve thought using “Boyfriend” as my group name (if I were a boy) would just be a tad awkward.
