Big Bang rappers G-Dragon and TOP partnered up last December to release a duet album, but faced a controversy regarding the duet’s logo which closely resembled the logo of worldwide brand Playboy.
On June 29th, YG Entertainment stated that the logo was “based on” Playboy’s logo, but the company “did not receive permission” from Playboy to use the artwork. After being requested by Playboy Enterprises, YG Entertainment has changed the logo on the album cover and will be re-releasing the album in July. Once the album with the new cover is released, YG will halt all sales of the original version.
What do you think of the new logo?
