Now that the drama “Lie to Me” is over, I realized that there were a LOT of cheesy moments in the drama towards the end after Ah Jung (Yoon Eun Hye) and Ki Joon (Kang Ji Hwan) begin their relationship. Let’s take a look at the top 8! [SPOILER ALERT!]

9. Ki Joon slips Ah Jung’s shoe onto her foot Cinderella style in episode 15. How sweet but cliche!

8. Ah, Ki Joon and his random cheesy lines. In episode 15 as well, Ah Jung tells Ki Joon she just wants to run away from all the problems, to which Ki Joon replies “Don’t run away or I will kidnap you in advance.”

7. At the end of the drama, Ki Joon and Ah Jung run to each other from across a field. When does this ever happen in real life?

6. In the beginning of their relationship in episode 13, Ki Joon tells Ah Jung in a phone call to go home straight after work and not wander because other guys might steal her. How cute.

5. As their relationship further develops, in episode 14, Ki Joon and Ah Jung are taking a break by a water fountain on a hiking trip, and Ki Joon offers Ah Jung a drink, but doesn’t allow her to drink it by herself and instead tells her that from now on, his arm will serve as hers.

4. This part was one of my favorite lines in the drama. Ki Joon and Ah Jung are talking outside her workplace when suddenly, Ki Joon says “I’m in big trouble!” to which Ah Jung asks why, and Ki Joon tells her “Because I miss you.”

3. In episode 15, Ki Joon tells a crying Ah Jung that he will never let her cry again. This line is considered really romantic, but when have we not heard that in a drama?

2. The part where Ki Joon announces his love for Ah Jung to complete strangers in a big open area had me laughing my butt off. I would be embarrassed if that every happened to me, but you have to admit he’s got guts!

1. I think the most romantic part of the drama was when Ki Joon prepared a dress and extravagantly decorated private meal for Ah Jung. It was a bit over the top, but I guess Ki Joon is just a big romantic at heart.
