Ulzzang, or sometimes referred to as Uljjang, is a popular term used by South Koreans to describe people who have good looks. The term literally means “best face” in Korean. Receiving this title can bring immediate celebrity status due the immense popularity and help of the web.

When debuting in a group, the title of ‘ulzzang’ can help bring attention and ultimately, success. The features possessed by an ulzzang can be envied and hoped for by Koreans who may not be so gifted physically especially on the face. To achieve this highly commended status, some people even go to the extreme of undergoing adjustments (ie; plastic surgery) and hence heightening the importance of this status among Koreans overall.

With that said, having the title of an ulzzang, plays an important role in determining the success of an idol. Likewise, here I shall present, 10 of the most prettiest idols within the KPOP industry who have achieved great success with this title of recognition.

10. Jaejoong (JYJ)
To start off, Hero’s appearance is somewhat similar to an anime character. His face is flawless and handsome, often being described as “coming out directly from a manga.” His eyes are the most enchanting features of his face and some say that it’s even prettier than girl’s eyes, which explains why he possesses such a feminine resemblance. Hero’s appearance is very delicate enabling him to pull off the ulzzang look.

Yoona has gained popularity from the day she debuted. She is commonly known for her bright, innocent look which defines her radiating beauty.

The dorky leader has already been deemed as Korea’s ulzzang with her illuminating beauty from within and out.
