On July 19th, SBS revelaed that KARA’s Seungyeon has officially been cast as an MC for their popular animal program, ‘TV Animal Farm‘.

SBS representatives stated, “After Shinji departed from the program, stars like f(x)’s Sulli, After School’s Kahi and Lizzy, Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha and many others have been active as one-day MCs. However, we have finally made the final decision of casting Seungyeon to joining the cast of MCs.”

The producers of the show revealed that Seungyeon was the perfect candidate for the program as she’s known for her love for animals; as well as personal experience with raising dogs and hedgehogs.

The first duty she had to complete as MC was to visit an animal rescue scene.

Seungyeon and the producers rushed to a scene when they received reports of a baby kitten being near death one night.

At arrival, Seungyeon discovered a kitten injured from what seemed like an accident. She later discovered the mother cat and her kittens.

The mother cat had unfortunately left the world, leaving her kittens behind. The kittens didn’t know that the mother was dead and continued to search for her embrace. When Seungyeon saw this, she couldn’t help but burst into tears (I cried just from looking the picture of the cat)

Even though she wanted to rush the rescue efforts, the producers were wary of the kittens’ conditions as they could have been infected. Seungyeon watched over the kittens overnight as they waited for the rescue team to arrive.
