In the previous episode, we were left with Young Joo going limp after apologizing to Yun Seong. What happens next? [SPOILER ALERT!]

Kim Young Joo is indeed dead, and unfortunately, Kim Jong Shik just wakes up from his coma. Yun Seong is angry at Jin Pyo for sending Young Joo to find Cheon Jae Man, but Jin Pyo doesn’t care much and he goes to the harbor to find and kill Cheon Jae Man by himself. Yun Seong goes to stop Jin Pyo but arrives a step too late again, so he goes to Jin Pyo’s house and tells him that he knows who the last target is, but he won’t kill him.

Seo Young Hak reveals to the press that it was the president who organized the sweep mission of 1983 so he is the City Hunter’s next target, but the president also holds a press conference and announces that it was not him who planned the mission.

At Young Joo’s funeral, everyone is reminiscing about things they should have said or done or things they regret doing or saying to Young Joo. Young Joo’s partner, who seems to have gotten drunk, goes up to Yun Seong calling him the City Hunter and blaming him for causing Young Joo’s death. Because of this outburst, the president really begins to suspect Yun Seong as the city hunter. Yun Seong doesn’t wish to have to do to the president, his father, what he had to do to the other four, but Yun Seong knows that if he has done illegal things, Yun Seong will have to expose his corruption. That afternoon, Yun Seong finds out that the president met with a politician to bribe him to support his Private School Reform Bill.

Go Ki Jun finally confesses to Shin Eun Ah that he likes her.

Yun Seong learns from someone who worked with the president before that he keeps a record of all of his money dealings, so Yun Seong decides to search for it to find out if the president has done anything wrong. While Yun Seong searches the president’s study, the president enters the room and just hands to him what he is looking for. He knows that Yun Seong will expose him, but he doesn’t really mind, and he also knows now that Yun Seong is his son.

The Private School Reform Bill gets passed, but very soon after, the news about the president’s illegal money dealings during his presidential campaign spreads and the congress decides on his impeachment. The next day at the president’s office, the president knows that Jin Pyo will come to take his life, so he asks his bodyguards to leave him alone with a guest without patting him down. However, when Jin Pyo enters the room, he finds Yun Seong there and the president nowhere to be seen. They end up point guns at each other, but Yun Seong suddenly points his own gun to his own head, which startles and worries Jin Pyo. Nana and the president can’t stand to watch from hiding so Nana also points her gun at Jin Pyo. The president knows he deserves to die though, so he pushes Nana out of the way and as Jin Pyo is about to shoot him, Yun Seong jumps in front of the president and takes a bullet to his chest. Nana, startled, also shoots Jin Pyo. Hearing the gunshots, the security guards outside all rush in to find Yun Seong on the floor and Jin Pyo still holding his gun. Jin Pyo threatens to shoot Yun Seong and during that time, he tells everyone that it was him who was the City Hunter, exposing all his plans and taking all the blame for even Yun Seong’s actions. Then he is ready to die, so he turns around and all the guards start firing at him, killing him.

We are then brought to the future, where Nana visits Da Hye at her own coffee shop, mentioning that she quit her job and Yun Seong quit as well. Then Go Ki Jun and Shin Eun Ah come in, giving them invitations to their wedding! Yun Seong’s mother is planning to go to America with Baek Shik Jung to open up a restaurant. The 21 men who died in the sweep mission of 1983 are also finally honored with a tombstone remembering them. And finally, Nana and Yun Seong can be together.

What an ending! I have to say the acting was really superb, and the whole drama was so awesome. I am sad it is over, but it was a good 20 hours well spent!
