Kibum placed aside his acting career and was active as a member of Super Junior, especially during the promotions for the group’s second album Don’t Don and Super Junior’s first concert tour. He was seen in various fields in the entertainment industry such as in singing, acting, dancing, and other performing talents such as hosting and modeling. Furthermore, having raised in the United States, he became the member who is known for his English rapping ability and remains to be the lead rappers of the group.

However, he has been absent since the ‘Sorry Sorry’ promotions and the other days after that. This led to rumors that he already left Super Junior, but then he clarified that he’s just focusing on his acting career and never thought of leaving the group.

Now, with all the speculations that were flying around since last year, everyone thought that he’ll finally be participating in the 5th album and be an active member of the group once again. However, it seems that it is not the case. When Super Junior’s choreographer hinted about this upcoming album through Twitter, all the hopes of him returning began to subside. The choreographer showed us a picture of cups with the all the names of the ‘participating’ members on it, but as you have seen, there were only ten cups. So when will he return? Maybe in the 6th album? 7th? 8th? or maybe he’ll surprise all of us with his appearance in the ‘Mr. Simple’ music video (I hope so!) We’ll never really know.

All in all, he has already tried everything in this industry and of course, has helped in making who Super Junior is today. I just hope he’ll return soon.
