Lee Hyori, one of the solo queens of KPOP, is slated to make a comeback this year! The singer and former member of Fin.K.L. has been quiet in the KPOP music scene since her fourth album, released last year, became the center of controversy thanks to bouts of plagiarism from the song writers.
Hyori is currently choosing which songs will make it into her fifth album. As she is in the process of a long lawsuit against the songwriter who plagiarized songs, she is keeping a close watch on the songwriting process to ensure that something like this won’t happen again. Her agent revealed that they are trying to release the album later this year, but if it doesn’t happen, she will still appear on variety and entertainment shows.
She has also expressed interest in filming for a movie or drama.
Hopefully, there will be no problems with her fifth album! After all, what happened to her wasn’t her fault, so I hope her confidence didn’t take a hit.
