On August 8th, it was confirmed that actor Jang Geun Suk will be playing the lead male character in upcoming melodrama, “Singing in the Rain.”

Thanks to the addition of Jang Geun Suk, “Singing in the Rain” has been deemed as the drama with potential to be popular throughout Asia. The melodrama will be directed by Yoon Sukho, who is known for haven directed many popular dramas including “Autumn Tale” and “Winter Sonata.” Director Yoon stated, “I can’t talk about the rest of the casting for the drama yet. I’m concentrating on writing the script now.” The drama was originally scheduled to air through KBS later this year but was canceled due to late preparations.

“Singing in the Rain” will begin airing next year.
