Earlier, we reported that there have been rumors about SM Entertainment bringing their family concert, SMTOWN, to New York in October of this year. On August 22nd, it was confirmed by an official from SM Entertainment that they are currently in the process of finalizing negotiations for an ‘SMTOWN Live in NYC‘ as well as many other places.

The official spoke with Newsen and revealed, “We have received inquiries about performances from all over the world. Currently there are discussions for a New York concert in the United States.”

The official added, “There are many other places in discussion in addition to New York, but there isn’t an official deal yet.”

SM Entertainment ventured out on their first world tour last year and visited Los Angeles, California for the first time, which concluded successfully. This coming September, SMTOWN will be heading to Japan for their encore concert which had been delayed due to Japan’s natural disaster in March.
