It’s been a long three months since BIG BANG’s Daesung was involved in a car accident that culminated in the death of motorcyclist Hyun. Now, three months after the accident, there is a bit of good news for Daesung, BIG BANG, YG Entertainment, and VIPs alike.

Prosecutors sifted through what they had and reviewed the case on the accident. In the end, they came to a verdict that Daesung was “Not Guilty” as there wasn’t an abundance of hard evidence that could prove facts, such as Hyun being alive at the time of Daesung’s collision or whether Hyun met his death after hitting the streetlight.

The police did state that Daesung should’ve paid more careful attention to his surroundings and kept a safe distance, but without knowing more, there was no way to prove what went on in real-time. Because of this, they concluded that he was “not guilty” because of the principle, “innocent until proven guilty”. In addition, Daesung’s settlement with the victim’s family was on July 19th, so the case is now considered closed.

I’m sure this is a relief for so many of you and likewise for Daesung and BIG BANG. I hope Daesung feels a little better now and that he can go back to his smiling self.
