A few weeks ago, BEAST was denied entry into Japan due to visa issues and now CNBLUE was denied as well on August 31st.
CNBLUE was supposed to start their official schedule for their major Japanese debut on September 1st. However, if the visa issues are not resolved soon, the band will have to return to Korea in order to resolve the problems.
According to CNBLUE’s company, “Currently we are working with our Japanese agency on quickly resolving the situation. We are trying our best to make sure that CNBLUE’s Japanese schedule does not get harmed by this problem.”
Japanese visa regulations state that Koreans are allowed to enter the country without a visa for 90-days for travel. However, if profits are made through concerts and other activities (which is what CNBLUE is scheduled to do), a visa must be obtained.
The fact that CNBLUE is having visa issues is strange beacuse they just performed in Odaiba, Tokyo on August 22nd for ‘Mezamashi Live’, but that visa should be treated separately from this one.
I hope the issues are resolved soon!!
