Upcoming melodrama “Love Rain” is set to air in 2012 and filming will begin in October. Jang Geun Suk was already reported to be the male lead, but the female lead is still undecided as of now. However, there are many candidates the crew feels will make the drama amazing, one of them being Han Hyo Joo.

Director Yoon Seok Ho narrowed down the actresses to someone in her mid-twenties and is a natural beauty. Naturally, the first choice that came to mind was Han Hyo Joo as Yoon worked with her before on “Spring Waltz“. Another advantage to having her on the cast would be that the drama’s overseas popularity would rise. A representative stated, “The fact that many of Han Hyojoo’s dramas have succeeded greatly in Japan also added to her being cast for this one. ‘Dong Yi‘ and ‘Spring Waltz’ have both been rerun as well, for its popularity.”

Han Hyo Joo’s agency has neither accepted or rejected the offer as the actress is receiving many offers at the time. Negotiations are still in progress, but hopefully she picks this drama! It’ll definitely be a good one when the director of “Winter Sonata“, “Autumn in My Heart“, and “Summer Scent” is on board.
