Filipina singer Charice has been selected alongside Japanese singer Mai Fukui to sing the theme song for upcoming game Final Fantasy XIII-2!

Hold your horses, though. The song will not be a duet and instead, while Fukui sings the Japanese theme song for the Japanese PS3 version, Charice will be in charge of the theme song to be heard in the PS3 and Xbox 360 version that will be released outside of Japan (with some countries in Asia as the exception). She will also sing the theme song for the Japanese Xbox 360 version.

Charice’s “New World” and Fukui’s “Yakusoku no Basho” are the same song, just adjusted and arranged differently to the same background music. I can’t wait to hear this song, both in English and Japanese!
