Super Junior came out with their 5jib, Mr. Simple, featuring awesome huge record-like albums, released a B version afterwards, and now they’ve done it. A repackage titled A-CHa, featuring four new songs! I know many of us had already anticipated this ahead of time, but three versions during one promotion is pretty fantastic. I imagine many fans’ wallets crying right now… Anyway, let’s look at “A-CHa!”

This song gives off such a manly, sexy energetic vibe. Though, I’m a little disappointed that there is quite a lot of autotune and electronic pop/rock-iness going on throughout the…well, whole song. The theme of the piece is how a guy does not want a girl to leave him. I loosely interpret that he showers her with his masculine vocals to prove he is the best one for her, haha. Very upbeat tune, but sounds more generic than I would have liked. The Super Junior-ness was, I felt, kinda lost within all the electronic beats. Still, a catchy tune to listen to! I especially like the chorus best. I think I’ve mentioned before how I usually don’t like lengthy raps much.

As I mentioned, the lyrics are talking about how a guy is persuading the girl (who has apparently lost interest in him) not to leave him. He’s telling her to forget all thoughts about wanting to depart from him because her mind is wavering, making it risky. He doesn’t want her to compare him with the other guys in the world. She shouldn’t laugh at a confession out of love even if it may seem immature. When she realizes she has made the wrong choice, she will say “Oops,” but it will be too late and she will be hurt. The guy is going crazy because of this, and he feels pain and is tired from it all. With the composition of the song, this makes a big impact of persuasion.

From me, “A-CHa” receives a 4 out of 5! I have mentioned the generic-ness and autotune, but this is still a pretty good song. It has gotten quite a lot of great feedback from fans, but also some not-so-great responses. It depends on one’s taste of music, really, and also what you classify as “good” music as well as other factors. Well, good luck to Suju when promoting this repackage! (I like A Day and Andante best!!)

Yeah, there is a lot of electronic stuff going on in the song that kind of takes away from the singing >.< But I do love the weird note during the verses that is off of the tone of everything else so it kind of sticks out in an awesome sort of way :D For this song, I would kind of expect a robot-like mv, aha ha ha! All of the members dressed as robots XD Or like Transformers or something XD

it’s kinda noisy for my liking ..
i don’t think i can play it on headphones much ..i’ll be having lots of headache ..
the song it self is awesome .. but the music is kinda too heavy .. it needs to be tuned down just a little ..
it’s not as catchy as mr simple .. there’s something missing about this song i just son’t know what it is ..
may be this out tune .. but the lyrics is nice .. i like it ..

Andante, one of the most romantic songs I’ve heard from Suju, I even forced my brother to teach me how to play the intro on the guitar so then I can switch the keys to play on the piano...but it doesn’t sound right unless i play it with the guitar…

I enjoy the song.  It’s a lot of fun and would probably be dancing at my desk right now if there weren’t people around tongue laugh
