So I don’t know if everyone knows yet but after careful review, two songs from JYJ’s new album ‘In Heaven‘ have been declared unfit to be aired, ‘Mission‘ and oddly enough ‘Pierrot‘.

Seems there is some controversy about the song being a personal attack against Lee Soo Man of SM Entertainment. Um, what? Not everything JYJ does, says, or sings is about Lee Soo Man and SM Entertainment

Mission, I can understand, as in the lyrics Park Yoochun says ‘F*** You’. The term that deemed the song ‘Pierrot’ unfit, p.s.m., supposedly means ‘President Soo Man’. Again, um what? JYJ of course has come out and stated that this is unfair and an affiliate for JYJ has said “This is an arbitrary interpretation by KBS. During the deliberations process, they have never even asked us whether it is a personal attack against a certain individual. The lyrics were certainly not written to aim at someone.”

OK I see their reasoning, I mean if someone accused me of something but didn’t even ask me if I did or did not do something I’d be a little upset as well. OK MORE than a little upset. Honestly, I have never listened to ‘Pierrot’ and thought to myself ‘Wow, this is SO about Lee Soo Man, they must be getting revenge or just talking trash or something!’ No. I don’t think others have done this either. ‘Untitled Song’, on the other hand…

The affiliate for JYJ continued,

In the case of SBS, during their process of deliberation they asked us—“what does this word mean, it is not a swear word, is it?” If the term was unclear in meaning they can just ask. But they made an arbitrary interpretation and laid down the decision of Pierrot being unfit to air as if that interpretation was a fact. We think that to do so is unfair. Kim Jaejoong, who has written the lyrics, explained that ‘the overall content of the lyrics is a criticism of society. The lyrics were certainly not written to aim at someone.

So now JYJ is going to submit a form explaining the environment behind the lyrics, and everything the lyrics mean, and ask for a second deliberation. One last thing the JYJ affiliate relayed was just this, “Nowadays in song lyrics, words without meanings or new words not in the dictionary (yet) are appearing en masse and being broadcasted. It seems that the term was used to (vaguely) refer to a director or a master who controls others.” Oh my. Well then.

Jaejoong, who composed and wrote the lyrics for ‘Pierrot’, made a comment on his twitter, getting the attention of fans all around. “You are free to imagine as you will—since you are a human. I am curious as to what sort of a human imagined as such, what kind of a picture will be formed. Boss fighting, Album fighting.” A bit snarky, are we Jae? Only joking.

Well I guess we are just gonna have to sit back, relax, and watch this unfold until we can see clearly what is going on and what is to happen. What do you guys think p.s.m. means? What do you think about all this?
