It seemed to be quite stereotypical that idol actors don’t necessarily have as good of an acting skills as professional actors because of the other areas idols need to cover. However, though, Sports Chosun had dug through the problem by bringing together 10 reporters from 10 different entertainment medias to vote about idol actors.

Snatching the first place away, After School’s UEE had impressed many of the judges with her various dramas such as SBS‘s ‘You’re Handsome‘, tvN‘s ‘Birdie Buddy‘, and KBS‘s ‘Ojakgyo Brothers‘. She had earned a total of six votes, while another 5 votes had gone her way for the most improved actress.

Close behind UEE is Jay from TRAX. His acting abilities were seen through KBS’s “Women of Our Home“, which had gotten him 3 votes in total, and 1 vote towards his acting improvements.

Lastly, the third place had gone to Super Junior’s Siwon, who had earned praises through the various dramas he had participated in, including the recent ‘Poseidon‘ from KBS. Two votes for potential and one for his improvement, while many had mentioned their anticipation for Siwon’s future acting.

Personally, I really love watching idols act. You can just see this completely different side of them that you’ve never had before. But looks like the reporters don’t really agree with me as there were 6 votes on the need of training and preparation before acting debuts, and 0 votes for whether there need to be more idol actors.
