As we all know, most Korean groups have fan clubs, with very unique names. Fan clubs and their names help fans to distinguish between fans of the same group as them and in other groups. Fan clubs generally come up with a name and a color to represent the fan club’s identity, and also a personal connection to their fellow fans. Origin of Name: The constellation Cassiopeia is made of five points that make a W in the sky. Tracing TVXQ on a keyboard coincidentally makes a ‘W’. The Cassiopeia fanclub refers to themselves as Cassies for short.

Origin of Name: It is named after their first studio album. SHINee fans also refer to themselves as Shawols. It’s a shortening of their hit SHINee World, with Shya and Wol combining to = Shawols.

Origin of Name: When written in Hangul, SONE is 소원 which means wish, and was a song featured on their first album, and it is featured in their song Tell Me Your Wish. Also, 소원 is pronounced “So One”, implying that SNSD will always be one with their fans.

Origin of Name: 21 is the highest number that someone can achieve while playing Blackjack.
Color: Hot Pink

Origin of Name: All of the MBLAQ members are of A Bloodtype, and the + comes from Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality. The fact that it is “Absolute Quality” makes it A+.
Color: Pearl Chocolate


Fan Club Name: Triple S
Origin of Name: The double S in SS501 stands for Super Star. The added “S” stands for Supporter.
Color: Pearl Green


Fan Club Name: Kamilia
Origin of Name: Kara’s fans are just like the members’ real family. Putting Kara and the Spanish word Familia together, you’ll get Kamilia.
Color: Pearl Peach
