YG Entertainment has held the ‘YG Family Concert’ since 1997. This one is extra special because not only is it celebrating the 15th anniversary, but also…BIG BANG‘S DAESUNG‘S RETURN!!
On October 19th, YG Entertainment stated “We will be performing a YG Family Concert in celebration of our 15th anniversary. We will hold three concerts for about 40,000 guests per show at the Olympic Hall in Seoul on December 3rd and 4th, then on January 7th and 8th, perform two shows for about 80,000 guests per concert at the Osaka Colosseum, and finally 2 shows at the Saitama Super Arena on January 21st and 22nd for about 80,000 guests each show.”
This is the first time since the company’s ten-year anniversary that they are holding the concert overseas. YG Entertainment will also be celebrating the establishment of their new company ‘YGEX’, which was formed with Avex Entertainment this year.
Artists that will be performing at the concert include, Se7en, Gummy, 2NE1, Psy, and Epik High’s Tablo. Big Bang is also scheduled to perform, but G-Dragon’s attendance at the concerts is still TBD.
Nonetheless, this will be a rather joyous occasion as Daesung will be returning to the stage for the first time since the car accident in May. Hopefully G-Dragon will be in attendance as well so it can truly be a time for the YG family to celebrate.
Tickets will go on sale for the concerts starting October 27th!
