SM TOWN performed in NYC on October 23rd, causing the surrounding streets of Madison Square Garden to be covered in pink. Everywhere you would look you could see people wearing SM TOWN Live in NYC shirts addition to the pink shirts worn by Girls Generation fans. It really got me pumped up for the concert, even through it was hours away. I got in Madison Square Garden at 6:00pm to make it in time for the show which was starting at 7:00pm. To my surprise, the clock strikes 7 and the staff are still setting up equipment and not even hurrying. People were still piling in and the concert was put off until 7:30. When it started through, nothing mattered anymore. The stars didn’t just steal fans hearts, they literally glued the fans eyes to the stage. There wasn’t a moment I could move my eyes away in fears of missing something the idols would do. Even when I took videos or pictures it was really hard, because I wanted to see them live, not through a camera. That’s why sorry if the videos aren’t very steady.

The concert started off with f(x) singing and then introducing themselves, they were really good in English and didn’t stumble at all. Amber was the one who lead the crowd urging them to scream and starting the show. After them the first performer was Kangta and the glow sticks in the audience followed his slow paced powerful song. What really made everyone happy was when he and f(x) Sulli had an adorable duet together. In the middle of their song, just for the fun of it Onew showed up carrying a bag to Sulli and tripped on stage…… you should have heard the laughter.

After Kangta we have a non KPOP song performed by Jessica and Krystal. I was surprised but it turned out very entertaining. They sang Keisha’s Tik Tok together. It was really weird to listen to their cute voices covering Keisha’s rougher one. (You can make videos better quality(HD), hopefully that will help a little)

The stage lights go out and an all familiar, one of the most beloved Drama OST melody starts playing, and before we even see or hear the artists, everyone starts screaming to top of their lungs. Screaming stops when we finally hear SHINee! They performed Stand By Me, and since there was no set choreography for it, they walk around and dance whatever they feel like, which makes it a lot of fun to watch. Jonghyun keeps jumping and being super energetic like all the others, making it impossible to take normal pictures with my camera. But you can enjoy the video! make sure you watch the end when they all start skipping really cute!!

They follow up with Replay, Get Down and Juliette. Everyone knows how Replay goes, with all those fancy footwork and Taemin in the middle. Get Down on the other hand was really unexpected. I had no idea Minho had so much ENERGY, not just him they all rocked the stage! Jonghyun literally gets lifted off the stage in Juliette and leaves a spark trail, he was an amazing sight to see LIVE!!! <3

I don’t know if you guys know this but Key performed his solo, “My First Kiss” alone most of the time during this world tour, and I think this is the first time he performed it with Krystal!! Thank god they didn’t make Taemin do it… just like he was the victim last time during SHINee Concert. Key and Krystal shared a fast fake kiss together, it was still so cute.

And then comes the performance that everyone was waiting for, especially those fans who bought all nine fans, which had the members faces on them. SNSD comes out in sparkly outfits to seduce with Run Devil Run. They were just as beautiful, if not more, as they look in the videos. They also showcased their new song “The Boys” and asked the fans to support them. Another a must to record performance followed up. Super Junior sang and danced to Mr Simple, and I felt literally honored to be watching it live. I was a bit sad, because all the performances which required synchronized choreography where done on the main stage, far from my seat, even zoom was not helping that much for the quality.

After this point my camera started loosing battery that’s why I have small parts of performances. And wow SHINee got lifted up so many times off the stage I can’t even count.
SHINee lifted

SHINee lifted AGAIN

SHINee lifted during “Lucifer” and green laser beams the audience !!

People say best for last, so finally I got to see TVXQ. They entered the stage while hanging off from the ceiling(again with the hanging lol). I have to say that they left a huge impression on me because they were the group which danced really fast paced and with really hard moves and they still managed singing without breathing hard even after the performance. When they introduced themselves Changmin’s english was clear but Yunho was a bit funny. He tried saying Madison Square Garden, but failed a bit. Sadly I didn’t get to record Changmin’s scream due to my need to turn off the camera regularly.

There was one person who really moved me during the time that I was in Madison Square Garden. Before I got to know him like this, I always thought that he was not as amazing as everyone claimed. After yesterday, Leeteuk is one of my favorite Super Junior members. He was the sweetest person. The way he interacted with fans was so nice that it made me intensly happy, even through it wasn’t me. Not only did he take a camera from a GA fan and take his own picture returning it to them, but he also layed down on the stage and took a picture so that the fan would also show up behind him. Also after the concert when I was waiting for them close to the bus he was the only one who saw a fan wanting a signature and ran from his “guards” and signed it really quick for her. He is my light from now on. <3 (If you see blurry pics in the gallery that’s him, I know it’s bad quality but I really wanted to share how sweet he is)
The concert ended with the stars singing a sweet song and billions of pieces of paper flying around. I was seriously wondering who would clean that up….. Everyone really enjoyed the show and loved the fact that Zhou Mi also performed with the other Super Junior members, even through they missed Heechul and Siwon. BoA was also amazing and funny once in a while. She even mentioned that she checked twitter backstage and loved all the support and people from the audience that were talking about her. You can enjoy other performance pictures below. :)

To Those Who wished they could attend the Sound Check:
At about 11:15AM I saw a little line waiting for sound check party. I decided to wait with them since I was told they would give us special bands at 12pm. Unfortunately I had to wait until 3 o’clock until they gave us wristbands and escorted us to the sound check. By that time there was couple hundred more people piled up behind me making me glad that I got there early, but all that was short lived as Madison Square Garden staff kicked us out in middle of SNSD’s third song practice…. Fans basically swallowed disappointment since they got to wave and yell out to GG members at least.
