As actress Kim Tae Hee’s Japanese drama “Me and My Star’s 99 Days” aired their first episode, they received a high rating of 10.2%. However, Korean netizens was not completely satisfied with Kim Tae Hee’s performance.

in a particular scene, the lead male actor asked, “Where’s Korea” to which Kim Tae Hee responded by pointing to the approximate location of Korea on a map. To many this may seem normal, but apparently some hawk eyed netizens noticed that there is something up with the names of the map. On the map, Korea’s Dokdo Island was replaced by Takeshima. Many Korean netizens were offended by the name change because there is a current dispute in Japan and Korea over that island.

Netizens argued, “I think Kim Tae Hee was tricked by Fuji TV,” “There’s no way that Fuji TV was unaware of the fact that Kim Tae Hee supports Dokdo Island,” “Kim Tae Hee probably wasn’t aware of this,” “Are they going to keep using her like this?” and “I’m guessing this was their reaction to Kim Tae Hee’s actions.”

I really hope netizens would leave Kim Tae Hee alone; she was not the one who bought the map. How could she possible know; she just doing her job. And the map was probably just a coincidence, there was probably no meaning behind this. In fact, the map was just a prop.

What do you think? Are netizens over thinking things again?
