So you have a friend who loves and adores Asian movies, and it’s a bit difficult to find them gifts. I mean, other than the movies themselves, and sometimes that can be a bit pricey. Movies add up, you know. Here are some ideas for the 5 best gift ideas for Asian movie lovers! First, it depends on what their favorite kinds of movies are. Horror movies, they are the easiest to get things from. In any case, here goes!

1. Posters. Everyone loves posters. They are affordable and awesome and can remind the person of the movie they love when looking at it. It’s also one of the more typical gifts, but it IS tried and true.

2. Notebooks, pencils, book covers, etc. These are a bit harder to find, but are still cost-efficient. Or you can even make your own.

3. Fan guides. You can make this, by watching the movie incessantly, OR you can go buy them. I know they exist for the more popular movies. Honestly I don’t even think you’d need to watch a movie too much, you can research the movie and find out fun facts and tidbits about it that the person doesn’t know, and write them down, put a nice cover on it and voila! 4. Clothes and Jewelry. OK this one is a bit on the difficult side but if you know where to find these things, or even how to make them (clothes-wise) then it should be fine. If you buy something that looks similar to or make something that looks similar to the person’s favorite outfit or jewelry in the movie, you will definitely get a lot of gratuity. You can also always go to a seamstress and make a deal.

5. Gift Baskets. This, aside from posters or just BUYING their favorite movie, might be the easiest gift to get and make. Throw in some shrimp chips, aloe, some chopsticks and a Chinese food menu, maybe the movie itself and some other Asian snacks and bam! Instant gift basket. Then the movie lover can just grab the basket, watch a movie, and eat the snacks and be happy!
