Kim Hyun Joong is making his move on Japan and he’s selected Japan’s Universal Music to be the one to support him on this journey.

Back in July, Hyun Joong held a showcase in Japan and the Japanese music companies were swept off their feet. Instantly, Hyun Joong had a number of requests to sign contracts with a variety of agencies, but in the end Universal Music won the bid.

Universal Music said “We were impressed by Kim [Hyun Joong]’s powerful performance that he gave at his show in July. We are sure that [he] will be successful in Japan.”

Hyun Joong plans to start touring on March 9th through 8 Japanese cities (Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Yokohama).

Universal Music has introduced a number of other K-Pop groups into the Japanese market, including SNSD, KARA, BEAST, and 4minute.
