It’s Pepero Day! 11/11/11! Pepero Day is so formed because when you put four Pepero sticks together, it looks like 4 ones, hence why 11/11 is known as Pepero Day in South Korea (though I suppose you could get the same effect with just 3 1’s, right?). It’s akin to Valentine’s Day and White Day and it’s the day where you give your favorite people Pepero! Oh, I should probably mention that Pepero is the Korean version of Pocky. And while other countries are remembering their fallen heroes, guess South Korea is celebrating this “holiday”. So now, let’s see which idols deserve some pepero!

2NE1’s Dara.
Though Dara may be quirky, she is a sweet group member and loving sister. Even in her Etude House ads, she asks you if you wanna be sweet. Yes, Dara, I will take “Wanna Be Sweet” for 1 Pepero. Oh wait, what’s that? I have to give you Pepero, otherwise you’d hunt me down when I’m not looking? Yeah, that sounds about right.

2PM’s Nichkhun.
Ah, the Thai Prince of beastly 2PM. I’m sure everyone wants to give him Pepero. Yes, even you anti-fans. I’m looking at you right now. With his gentle demeanor and wide smile, how can you NOT give him Pepero? I think it’d be a crime on Pepero Day to withhold Pepero from him.

CNBLUE’s Yonghwa.
It’s another prince-like KPOP idol! CNBLUE’s Yonghwa is totally sweet. Like the sweet chocolate flavors of Pepero that melt in your mouth. Ok, I’m not exactly comparing him to Pepero. But have you seen the guy treat his love interests on TV? (Park Shin Hye and SNSD’s Seohyun come to mind.) The guy is like pretty awesome. He deserves some Pepero for his kindness!

f(x)’s Amber.
Amber is definitely one that I would like to give Pepero to. As friends! She’s totally awesome, rad, cool, and chill. She is one of the most laidback KPOP idols you’ll ever see and meet. And probably if you gave her Pepero, she’d make a rap about it. In English and Korean and Chinese.

FTISLAND’s Hongki.
Oh no! Did you make Hongki sad? Cheer him up by giving him some Pepero this Pepero Day! I’m sure he’d appreciate the gesture. Plus, he’ll cheer up once more then go hyper around you because of all the sugar.

IU.
I think the nation’s little sister deserves some Pepero. After all, she pulls off some of those aegyo moves quite well. And besides, she’d beg for some Pepero with her puppy eyes if you don’t give her any. How could you say no to that?

SHINee’s Onew.
Ok, so probably giving him just Pepero wouldn’t satisfy him. After all, Onew’s first love is CHICKEN. He’s the chicken monster, so we must give him that. I know! Give him Pepero in the form of chicken! That ought to do the trick. But wait, something’s wrong with that: 1) it wouldn’t be a Pepero stick; 2) he’d be mad at you for lying about the chicken.

SNSD’s Taeyeon.
SNSD’s dorky leader Taeyeon has been very busy this year with her group promotional activities, yet she always strives her best and tries to keep a smile whenever possible. Thus, you should give her some Pepero to help lift her spirits up and keep her cheerful. Besides, if you don’t give her some, she might give you the same torture you see below.

Super Junior’s Siwon.
Siwon is known as pretty much the perfect gentlemen (good looks, tall height, kind charms) - who wouldn’t want to give him Pepero on Pepero Day? I’d say you’d be a fool not to give him any. But beware, probably lots of girls will be giving him some Pepero, so make sure yours stands out!

U-KISS’ Kevin.
Pretty boy Kevin loves his fans and his group and appreciates all the love that the fans shower with him. That’s why he should receive some Pepero from you on Pepero Day. Guy who is as sweet as him deserves sweet Pepero, right?
