After snagging their first win with comeback song “Be My Baby” on Mnet M! Countdown a while ago, Wonder Girls‘ Yubin apologized through her Twitter for breaking their trophy during the encore performance.

Yubin revealed on her Twitter that she had accidentally stepped on the trophy during their encore performance, breaking the trophy into pieces. In the said tweet, she expressed her sadness over breaking the group’s first trophy since their Korean comeback. She further expressed her gratitude for their fans and promised to work harder in the future.

This incident became a hot topic in South Korea after photos of the girls’ shocked facial expressions over their broken trophy began surfacing online, even becoming one of the most searched tags on various portal sites. Fans who saw her tweet sent words of encouragement to the group and hoped for the girls to achieve another win.

Haha, poor Yubin! But I kind of understand it though. XD I would be scared if it was me who broke a trophy. You never know who will accuse you for being disrespectful or something like that. (I actually don’t know how you can be disrespectful for breaking a trophy but people really get accused for anything sometimes!)

Disrespectful???? Its not like she wasnt the winner of the trophy><, im sure she was just as sad and even more about breaking it , poor girl i feel so sorry for her, she must be feeling so guilty for her other members and she must have been so shocked when it was broken , well i hope they would win more trophies and this would just be a funny cute memory for them ^^

Too bad they can’t get it replaced? :\ I remember a person who won an Oscars gave it to a baby who accidentally dropped and broke it, and the Oscar was fixed/replaced :\
