I’ve just been made aware that people might be impersonating Ningin staff members and telling users via email that they have won prizes and to email back personal information. While I do not have all the details of how long this has been happening or how many have been affected, I do want to make it clear that Ningin never sends an email telling you have won a prize. It’s a policy we have because we know how incredibly easy it is to send emails pretending to be someone else. We will also never ask you for password to your account. If you receive any such emails, please forward them to security@mixrmedia.com and we will contact the proper authorities.
All prize winners are notified publicly via “Winners” blog postings. This is the only method we use to disseminate winner’s of our contests.
Per our guide for claiming your prize, please only send address and ID information to prizes@mixrmedia.com and no other email address. Note that prizes@mixrmedia.com is never checked by a human person and therefore cannot reply to inquiries. Instead, please open up a Support Ticket if you have questions regarding claiming your prize.
Lastly, do not respond to private messages asking for ID or address information UNLESS the username is Prizes. That is the account we use to contact you if you are missing information.
