At the recent 2011 MAMAs, KPOP idols had many thrilling performances, much to the delight of fans, but there was one performance that shocked many present (and those watching on their TV screens). BEAST’s Hyunseung and 4minute’s Hyuna seemingly locked lips during their hot performance, which left fans reeling from shock and despair.

The steamy kiss shared between 4minute’s HyunA and Beast’s Hyun Seung has been the talk of the night ever since it was performed live on stage at the “2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards.”

But Cube Entertainment has cleared up the air and revealed that rather from being a full-on kiss (mouth to mouth), it was more of a peck (a long peck) than it was on the lips. The agency explained, “The kiss was something agreed upon by the directors prior to the performance. The stage was special in that not only is it a place where they could wrap up the past year’s success, but also debut their new unit collaboration. Upon agreement with the directors, their kiss performance was created. However, their lips did not touch lip to lip, but rather lip to cheek.”

Fans should rather be relieved of this news, but guess what? Their performance, plus subsequent “kiss”, is still the hottest news of the day. And I actually watched the video of it and I was dead on sure that they didn’t kiss on the lips (though it wouldn’t have bothered me in the slightest, heh) and my thoughts were correct.
