The other day, we reported that Kim Hyun Joong may take the lead role of Chosun’s upcoming drama “Speed”. Unfortunately, due to the idol’s jam-packed schedule, the offer has been declined.

On December 7th, Key East Entertainment’s director, Shin Je Kwang made the announcement, stating “It’s a good work so we examined it, however, Kim Hyun Joong will be releasing a Japanese album in January and plans to move into Chinese promotions in February and March. Therefore, it has been decided that working on a drama with his current schedule would be too much.”

Although Kim Hyun Joong declined the offer, actor Lee Jung Jae and SNSD’s Sooyoung have committed to the series. “Speed”, which will be directed by Yang Yun Ho (of KBS2TV’s ‘IRIS’) is scheduled to air in March and April. The drama will be about competitive race car drivers and their intertwined fates.

Awww…that’s too bad. I was kind of looking forward to seeing Hyun Joong in another drama, but with his schedule I can totally understand why they decided to turn it down. That would be WAY too much.
