I guess Christmas is an apropo time to talk about rewards and prizes. It’s been about a year since we first launched the Ningin Reward Center. In that time, about 50 prizes have been rewarded - a lot more if you count Limited Edition Pins. Between the Reward Center and the 366+ prizes we gave out this past year alone, Ninginers had numerous opportunities to receive free Kpop merchandise just for being a user of this site. Next year, there will be a major change to this structure. As much as we like doing giveaways, we don’t like having to package and ship them. It’s just an incredibly time consuming thing to do. Enter KpopHeaven. Meeting the founders of KpopHeaven was truly serendipitous for us. They allow us to focus our editorial and contests while they handle the fulfillment. This means much, much faster shipping for prize winners as well as other great benefits.

Starting immediately, with any giveaways sponsored by KpopHeaven (including the Great F’ing Giveaway of December), the winners will have their prizes shipped by KpopHeaven. If you win a prize on Ningin, here’s what will happen:

1. You send us your information following the procedures outlined on this page.
2. We pass your info to KpopHeaven.
3. They send you a gift certificate in the amount of the prize + shipping cost (if applicable) via email.
4. You create/login to your KpopHeaven account and redeem the gift certificate.

You can then use your KpopHeaven credit to buy your prize, or buy something else. So this system gives you immense flexibility to get you what you want even if you might not want the prize that you won. KpopHeaven also provides order tracking so you’ll know exactly where your prizes are and they have a support staff to provide help if needed.

For giveaways not sponsored by KpopHeaven, Ningin will ship out the prizes.

The Ningin Reward Center now has KpopHeaven Gift Certificates. Whenever you redeem one of them, we’ll pass on your info to KpopHeaven, and they’ll send you the Gift Certificates via email. Then you can redeem them and buy whatever you want. You’re no longer limited to Ningin’s old inventory system. Note that your name, email, and address is needed before we can pass your info onto KpopHeaven. If you never won something and you redeemed an item in the Reward Center, you need to follow these instructions to get your gift certificates.

Why do we still check IDs and addresses if KpopHeaven is shipping the prizes? KpopHeaven requires us to provide all this information to them before we can ask them to give out gift certificates. And we’ve had people in the past try to cheat their way into prizes.
