Wow, time really does fly: TVXQ celebrated their 8th anniversary on December 26th this year! SM released a special video of the duo on the official SME YouTube channel.
TVXQ made their debut on December 26, 2003 during a BoA and Britney Spears showcase, where they performed their debut single “Hug” and an a cappella rendition of “O Holy Night” with BoA.
Here is their 8th anniversary message:
First they wished everyone a Merry Christmas, before asking if fans knew what day comes after…that, of course, is the anniversary of their debut! They express how thankful and grateful they are for their fans’ support over the past 8 years and emphasize that they will continue to do their best. They really felt their fans’ love and support at their own concerts, at SM Town concerts and the many fan parties they had, so they will work extra hard to pay back their fans’ love with good music. (That was just my rough interpretation, as there isn’t a subbed version yet and I’m still learning Korean…If anyone is fluent, please feel free to provide a better translation below in the comments, thank you!)
I am truly proud of them for all their hard work over the years and I will continue to support them with all my heart, regardless of the lawsuit! Obviously, I hope they can come back together as five again, but in the meantime, I will continue to support both TVXQ and JYJ!
Congratulations TVXQ~! Cheers to many more years to come!
