Super Junior’s Siwon may be known for his gentleman-like manners, but it is actor Kim Min Jong who acted like a gentleman towards SNSD’s Taeyeon.

A photo from the press conference for the Athena: Goddess of War special concert held in Japan circulated online with the caption, “Kim Min Jong has good manners and Choi Siwon is embarrassed.” Those in attendance at the concert were Cha Seung Won, Soo Ae, SHINee, Super Junior, Kim Min Jong, and Taeyeon.

Kim Min Jong took note that Taeyeon was standing with all the singers and behind the actors and told Siwon to let Taeyeon sit in his chair. At that moment, both Siwon and Taeyeon were confused but Siwon quickly gave his seat to Taeyeon, which Taeyeon took.

That certainly is a nice gesture, given that Taeyeon was the only female standing up, but I think Kim Min Jong should’ve given up his seat instead of telling Siwon to give his seat to Taeyeon. Or just have the organizers bring out more chairs!

Actually, it appears that because Siwon was the youngest actor there (that was sitting), Siwon giving up his seat to Taeyeon is a courtesy. And because older people in Korea deserve much respect haha

That makes sense since it was for respect to the older. It was still nice of Siwon though. 


I guess it’s cause it would be awkward for Kim min jong to stand in the back with all of the Super Junior members when Siwon would fit right in..
It was probably the best scenario. It’s not a good idea for Taeyeon to keep standing and it would be strange for a veteran to stand while others sit.:/
