The Ningin Round Table is a feature in which we pose an Asian entertainment news-related question to Ningin writers and they give us their colorful opinions and thoughts on the matter. Another season of Hello Baby (featuring MBLAQ) is upon us! We asked our writers, “Which idol or group would you want to be raised by?” Here’s what some of them had to say:

Priscilla Wu: When considering which group one would want to be raised by, the first group that comes to mind would definitely be B2ST! Seeing as how the members of B2ST all supply a wide variety of personalities, it’d definitely be fun to go through the experience. The boys would surely supply not only the responsibility, but the fun as well - something we can clearly see from all the realty shows they’ve been on. From Yoseob’s aegyo to Hyunseung’s 4-D ness, there’s no telling just what would happen when being raised by the boys of B2ST!

Vanda Nur Ilmi: If I were a lucky baby who could choose an idol as its parent on Hello Baby, I would want to be raised by JYJ’s Jaejoong. Growing up with eight older sisters, Jaejoong has a neat and tidy personality so messy rooms would not be a big problem to him and he would happily put the toys back while I take my afternoon nap. Speaking of nap, he would sing a lullaby with his angelic voice before I sleep. Known as the ‘mom’ in TVXQ’s dorm, Jaejoong has a great cooking skill so he would make meals for me regularly. I think he is good at taking care of others as he took good care of his members and now he also takes good care of his cat Jiji, so I’ve always thought that he would be a great father. *cough* Not to mention that Uncle Junsu and Yoochun would pay me a visit *cough*.”

Stefanel Lee: If we were given the chance to have another season of Hello Baby, I think the idol group I would want to get raised by is Infinite. Although the seven members of Infinite may act silly and dorky at time, I think when it comes to doing something important such as raising kids or preparing for their comeback, they would really become serious to get things done properly and orderly. Just like in their variety show called Birth of a Family, you can really see each of the member doing their role as temporary owners of the three abandoned dogs. Each member are given the responsibility of giving them baths, taking them for walks, feeding them, buying them clothes, taking them to the vet and even massaging them if they have time. Even if a member complains about not wanting to clean the puppies’ waste they would willingly do it in the end. You can really see that these seven boys have the potential to become great parents because you see them getting concerned whenever the puppies fight or even get sick. Even if we can’t compare puppies and babies/kids in terms of physical appearance, the one thing they have in common is for someone to give them love and care. So, if they were to be part of Hello Baby, I think they would really become caring fathers, and even make the kids laugh and smile due to their dorkiness.

Ngoc Nguyen: Laughing is good for the body, and with the members of Super Junior as my ‘appas’ (Dad in Korean) on KBS Joy’s ‘Hello Baby’, I would be laughing day and night. Since Super Junior is a large group with members who have different personalities and talents, I’d never have to worry about not being cared for properly. There’s Eunhyuk and Shindong to make me laugh with their silly antics, and Kyuhyun to rub his intelligence on me as well as sing me lullabies with Ryeowook and Yesung. There’s Leeteuk and Kang In to shower me with love since they’re both warm-hearted and have a caring nature. I also have Sungmin to buy me pink colored presents because we both love the color pink, and Donghae along with Siwon to stare at all day because good looking people are always pleasing to the eyes. Then when Heechul comes back from the army, he can introduce me to all the cute boys because he has connections with practically every person in the world. Hopefully, Henry, Zhou Mi, Kibum, and Hankyung will also visit me frequently because you can never have too much love. With this much loving going on, I can’t think of any other idol/idol groups who would make better parents than Super Junior.

Thuc Nguyen: All these Hello Baby seasons make me want to be a kid again, and I know just the right idol group to raise me: MYNAME! Surprising? They may have debuted for only a few months, but MYNAME’s charm and energy has caught my attention. When I watch their Ta-Dah! reality show, I can’t help but be awed by the amount of fun they have doing what they love. If MYNAME were to take care of a child, I think it would be a really refreshing experience. Gunwoo and Insoo would sing me to sleep, JunQ could rap me the alphabet, Seyong would amaze me with his b-boying skills, and Chaejin would make me giggle and squeal with his aegyo. The amount of love that they give to their slowly growing fanbase is a good indicator that they would be sweet and caring parents as well. MYNAME’s youth enables them to keep up with a child, while their good work ethic translates into a great potential to clean up after the day is done. I would love to be raised by MYNAME because they are the perfect balance between hardworking and fun!

And now you all have the floor - do you agree or disagree with the round table?
