On January 25th, Kim Hyun Joong released his debut Japanese single, KISS KISS/Lucky Guy, and immediately vaulted to #2 on the Oricon Single Album Daily Chart, placing second to only SKE48.

On just the first day alone, Kim Hyun Joong sold 71,812 copies of his debut single, a first for a foreign artist on opening day. This single is projected to sell at least 100,000 copies in the first week alone.

Lucky guy indeed, eh?
