A while ago, SNSD’s Yuri made an appearance on “Happy Sunday” and Yuri stated, “We split event fees equally nine ways. The person who earns the most is probably the member who does the most advertisements.”
tvN “eNEWS” wanted to know more and dug deeper into analyzing just how much each individual rakes in. They found out that Jessica and Tiffany, who starred in musicals “Legally Blond” and “Fame” respectively, made 3 million won (approximately $2,600) per performance, which came to approximately 30 million won for over ten performances.
Fellow member Taeyeon earned about 318 million won for her 2 years spent as a radio DJ, while the youngest member, Seohyun, received 400 million won for her various model activities. Lastly, Yoona has pocketed about 3.4 billion won due to her individual activities in dramas and CFs.
When it comes to the group as a whole, they raked in 60.1 billion won ($53.9 million) for their Japanese activities alone! This may sound like a crazy amount, but considering the fact that SM Entertainment takes over half of that for themselves, they’re not actually earning that much.
