CNBLUE‘s 2nd Japanese single “Where you are” has managed to sell 60,000 copies in its first week, allowing it to top the Oricon Weekly Chart for the week of February 13th!
The group made their debut in 2009, and released their first Japanese single “In My Head” last October.
CNBLUE has become the first foreign band in 41 years to top the Oricon Weekly Chart. Canadian rock band Mashmakhan was the last foreign band to accomplish this feat with their single “As the Years Go By” under the name “Two in the fog“ released back in January 18, 1971. CNBLUE have also become the fourth Korean male artist to place first on the Oricon Weekly Chart, behind TVXQ, JEJUNG (Jaejoong) & YUCHUN (Yoochun) (from TVXQ), and Jang Geun Suk.
Congratulations to CNBLUE!
