JYJ has managed to sell out tickets for all 19 screenings of their documentary film ‘The Day‘ in a mere hour!

Lotte Cinemas revealed that their servers crashed at 1PM when 110,000 fans rushed on the site to purchase tickets for the documentary film when the tickets weren’t even scheduled to go on sale until 4PM. Tickets for all 19 screenings of ‘The Day’ were sold out within one hour. JYJ also set a new record in Busan as their tickets were sold out within five minutes.

A Lotte Cinema representative remarked, “There were lines of Japanese fans waiting for tickets to go on sale since the early morning. Most films with singers sell around 30% of the tickets within the first few hours, but this film sold out completely, surprising all the employees. JYJ are definitely Hallyu stars.”

JYJ’s representative commented, “We set short dates for the screening of this film because it was set out just as a special service for fans. However, because of the high demand for tickets, we may extend the dates after further discussions with Lotte Cinema.”

‘The Day’ is 90-minute film showing the daily life of the trio, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu.
