It’s that time of year again. The time for Forbes Korea to release their list of the top 40 ‘Power Celebrities’ in Korea! Already going into their ninth year since their establishment, Forbes Korea recently released the list for the most influential celebrities and once again, SNSD came out on top.

The power girl group topped the list last year as well. This year, they claimed the first two sports under numerous categories such as having the most articles published, the most TV commercials, and the number of TV appearances. Following that, the number one celebrity that broadcasting companies seek out is, you guessed it, SNSD. These nine girls have had quite the successful year with ‘The Boys‘ selling almost 400,000 copies and even going on television shows in France and the United States.

SNSD weren’t the only idols that made the Forbes list as 10 of the top 20 celebrities were idols. The number of idols on the list only proves how much the Hallyu Wave has spread. More and more groups are spreading their influence, holding concerts in America, Europe, and Asia. Kim Yuna also made the list once again and was named the celebrity that held the most media influence.
