It has been revealed that Open World Entertainment’s CEO, Jang Seok Woo has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing, assaulting and raping the artists and trainees under Open World Entertainment’s management.
Reports were filed with investigators a month ago and investigations have been underway since then. On April 10th, the CEO was arrested after he returned from Japan and a search and seizure warrant was served for the entire company building.
Investigators have since interviewed over 20 victims and testifiers, including The Boss and their labelmates. Additionally, the police have discovered that the incidents occurred on the fifth floor and in the dance rehearsal studio (basement), and have confiscated the CCTV footage for the building.
A police official stated, “We’ve been receiving countless reports that the CEO was using his higher position to regularly sexually harass and assault his trainees. Over 30 victims are involved in the case.”
As for Jang, he is currently denying all of the charges against him.
Open World Entertainment currently manages The Boss, X-5, Jun Jin, as well as actors Go Joo Won, Shin Ji Soo, and girl group trainees.
