Fierce girl group 2NE1 has been a bit quiet on the KPOP music scene, choosing instead to focus on Japanese promotions and upcoming American album activities. Now, it is rumored that they will be returning to Korea at the end of May.

This sets up an interesting scenario as SNSD’s subunit group Taetiseo will already be promoting their song Twinkle. As for 2NE1, it is said that they have enlisted the help of Will.I.Am for their Korean album, as he has been helping them with their US debut album.

Certainly, nothing is set in stone and nothing has been confirmed by YG. But if so, we’ll see two of the top girl groups return to the music scene!
